Republicans for the National Interest recognizes the problem:

• When measured by GDP, Mexico is by far the richest nation in Latin America, a substantial 22.5% above runner-up Brazil. Mexico has abundant natural resources and is among the top exporters of oil to the United States. Over half of all of the billionaires in Latin America are Mexicans. Nevertheless, Mexico has a tax collection that is only 14% of GDP, as compared to 25% of GDP in the United States. The fact is the elite in Mexico do not want to tax themselves. Why should they, when American taxpayers subsidizing an ongoing influx of unassimilated, and thus impoverished, illegal immigrants essentially pay the social services tab for them?

• Because of the influx of unassimilated immigrants from anti-female, Islamic nations, there has been an emergence in America of female genital mutilation and other forms of abuse of young girls. As a result of this "diversity," Congress has had to ban outright the practice of female genital mutilation, though the practice continues underground. Sex selection abortions are on the rise here, as well as the practice of selling unwanted girls into the sex trade. The real promise of gender equality cannot coincide with an ongoing influx of unassimilated women haters.

• Then, there is the danger imposed by "fifth columnists." Such are those illegal immigrants who not only refuse to assimilate into our language and culture, but who are waging a subversive campaign on behalf of some foreign enemy, or are promoting some criminal enterprise, or are being cavalier about our own laws. Our own failure to assimilate immigrants generally makes it that much easier for "fifth columnists" to operate inside our own borders, because we fail therefore to keep tabs on these troublemakers or to elicit help from within their communities.

  • Between 2001 and 2005, over 45,000 illegal immigrants originally from nations designated as "state sponsors of terrorism" are released onto our streets, despite the fact the Department of Homeland Security cannot confirm their identities.

  • Over 100,000 illegal immigrants who have been convicted already of serious crimes walk our streets and are estimated will commit at least 13 offenses each.

  • In one report, illegal immigrants are involved in roughly 25% of all fatal traffic accidents, which is 5 times their representation. When considering that category, 75% of the drivers have no automobile insurance, and 93% of the vehicles have false out-of-state tags.

Republicans for the National Interest works for the solution:

• America is the beacon of hope and opportunity, when there is widespread assimilation into our common language and culture. There is greater hope in the virtues of republican self-rule among immigrants, when they have learned to take pride in our history and our Constitution. By seeing themselves as citizens of a Republic, rather than as peasants relying on the State, these immigrants in turn may be beacons of hope and opportunity as well for their brethren back home, which is the greatest contribution they may make in combating those elites in Mexico and elsewhere who get in the way of needed reforms.

• America is the school of social and political egalitarianism, when there is widespread assimilation into our common language and culture. In particular, women from Islamic or other anti-female nations may learn to see themselves as fully capable as their brothers; and their experiences as free women here may be catalysts for needed reforms there. We are a truly better culture than that which systematically aborts and mutilates girls, and through assimilation we offer that gift of a better culture to the rest of the world.

• America is secure in her God given liberties, and an example for the rest of the world, when there is widespread assimilation into our common language and culture. Those "fifth columnists" which would tear away at our way of life may be more easily identified and rooted out, if they are no longer protected by the unassimilated communities in which they hide.

We are not victims of this Third World invasion, or of the "fifth columnist" cabal that threatens our security from within our own borders, unless we choose to be victims.
