Even though I am supporting Senator McCain for the Presidency, because he is going to be the nominee of the Republican Party, and he is certainly better on some key issues in comparison with his outright Marxist opponent, I applaud the action of said Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones, also a Republican, in standing up against continued appeasement of illegal immigration. The problem defies party politics, in that Presidents of both parties, and their respective federal bureaucrats, have failed to secure the borders for decades, so as to coddle the desire for cheap labor (Republicans) and cheap votes (Democrats). Sadly, unless there is a real change of heart on this particular issue, we cannot expect a serious crack down on illegal immigration by either Presidential candidate, based on past actions and comments by McCain and Obama.
