Republicans for the National Interest Urges Republican Senators to Oppose Sebelius as Next HHS Secretary

Republicans for the National Interest Chairman Michael Erickson strongly urges fellow activists to put pressure on Republican Senators to filibuster the appointment of Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius as the next Secretary of Health and Human Resources. In pursuit of the goal, Mr. Erickson sends forth the following email to his list.

I agree strongly that we should call our Senators and urge them not to confirm the radical, pro-abortionist Governor Kathleen Sebelius as the next HHS Secretary. In particular, I am urging you to contact Republican Senators, even if out of your own state. The fact is, even as Democrats routinely stonewalled George W. Bush's appointments, the Republicans in the Senate, for the most part, have given huge majorities to the Obama appointees, such as almost unanimous support for now Secretary of State Clinton. We need them to know, through our calls and other actions, that we want them finally "to fight fire with fire" and be as strongly against the "extremist" Obama picks, as the Democrats were with several of the Bush picks. Furthermore, just as the Democrats would stonewall a strong pro-lifer, we should make it just as untenable for a radical pro-abortionist to be appointed to a cabinet position. Until we match the Democrats at their game, we shall continue to lose over time.
