Texas Executes Mexican Despite Objections
Posted August 6th, 2008Texas has carried out the execution of Jose Medellin, a Mexican National who participated in the brutal gang rape and murder of two, teenaged girls. Despite the heinous nature of the crime, which is described in detail in the comments below, the Bush Administration went to federal court and tried to force the State of Texas to abide by a ruling of the International Court of Justice, that Medellin should have been apprised of his right to speak first with the Mexican consulate and thus should have his sentence commuted. Bush joined with leftist groups, at the behest of the Mexican federal government, to seek commutation, even while still ignoring Ramos and Compean. Click here for more.
Texas Governor Rick Perry says he will seek reelection in 2010
Posted April 18th, 2008
Texas Governor Rick Perry has declared that he will seek reelection to an unprecedented third term in 2010, which may possibly set up a bruising primary battle with Senator Kay Bailey Hutchinson and Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst. Senator Hutchinson, who decided not to run against Governor Perry in 2006, seemed unfazed by the declaration. Hutchinson remarks: "I am encouraged by the growing number of Texans asking me to return home to run for governor to provide leadership for our state." Click here for more.
Perry to stick by law giving tuition breaks to illegal immigrants
Posted November 18th, 2007
Texas Governor Rick Perry signed a Texan version of the "Dream Act" awhile ago, that gives illegal immigrants tuition breaks for attending state colleges and universities. Of course, a legal citizen of another State, or a legal immigrant for that matter, does not get the same tuition breaks. Click here for more.
Perry: No Full Fence; Yes to Anchor Babies; Yes to Guest Workers

Don't Mess with Texas - unless you are providing lots of cheap labor or trucking in slave produced goods from Red China. If either one of those is the case, then as far as Texas Governor Rick Perry is concerned, the Lone Star State has open doors for you. Click here for more.
