Indeed, active&amp;nbsp;opposition to &amp;ldquo;state nullification&amp;rdquo; of federal laws is a&amp;nbsp;greatly cherished hallmark of first the American Whig, and then the Republican, Parties and one with which we have had to contend already in the cauldron of our Civil War.
