Conservative commentator, and American nationalist, Patrick Buchanan offers a most compelling vision of how the Republican Party may make substantial gains in the 2010 midterm elections, if she returns to her historic roots as an advocate of our sovereignty, industrial recovery, energy independence, and personal liberty. This is the game plan as well of Republicans for the National Interest; and while we share the overall confidence of Mr. Buchanan, we stress that there is work to be done in orienting the Republican Party leadership once more into backing these issues in a credible, compelling manner.

Pennsylvania RINO Senator Arlen Specter May Face Conservative Challenge

Republicans for the National Interest has been highly critical of the “usual suspects” of Republicans In Name Only (RINO) Senators Collins, Snowe, and Specter for caving in on the Obama “stimulus” bill, such anti-recovery package that said Congressional Budget Office has shown will hurt our economy in the long term and that is totally at odds with core, Republican principles. As we contend that it is time for these RINO Senators to find another line of work and that thus conservatives now should focus on recruiting primary opponents, we are pleased to note that the first of the dominoes may be ready to fall.

The Usual Suspects: Senators Collins, Snowe, and Specter Play Footsy with Senator Reid over the Obama "Stimulus" Bill

As anticipated, the usual suspects of RINO (Republican In Name Only) Senators Collins, Snowe, and Specter are at the center of efforts by the Democrat Senate leadership to raise the needed support for the Obama “stimulus” bill to a filibuster proof 60 votes. They are demanding cuts that collectively will amount to less than 10% of a nearly $1 trillion pork bill, thus giving away the store and showing once more the inability of the Republicans in the Senate to keep a unified resolve against even the worst of Democrat largesse.

Preserving Sanctity in the Marriage Amendment Debate

There is no national interest worth preserving, when the life of the nation increasingly is at odds with the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God. In preserving the sanctity of marriage in America, and even more so in preserving our sense of what makes marriage really sacred in every society, we are pursuing our national interest at home.
